Julia Zaucha; Do You Actually Like It?

While on the topic of music, I would like to say that I am an avid Spotify user and I also listen to a lot of music. My music generally ranges from rap to pop to R&B to throwbacks to instrumental - basically, a wide variety of genres fall under my interests. However, and I am sure it isn’t just me, but I take a lot of pride in what my Spotify results/ top played music is. It is kind of hypocritical in a way because I like listening to a wide variety of music but I still want my most popular genres to fall under a certain list. For the last couple of years I have loved rap, and to no surprise, it is my number one - yet I would be very upset if it were something else. So sometimes I question myself for listening to certain types of music as to whether I genuinely like it or whether I just want my number one genre to just be rap. I mean if one were to look at my playlist the majority of it is rap so I am sure I am not faking my music type, but I wonder if my focus on having specific top played genres in the For You section almost outlines the type of music I allow myself to listen to.
