Blog #7

For this week still, I did not have much to say. For the EMK today, I just helped the students focusing on writing their essay and they even do not have any questions for their essay to ask me so most of the time the only thing I can do is just sit there doing nothing. Also, sometimes they even just talked with each other without doing their work so I really miss the boy I taught and met the first time in class.
Still, that is not my topic for today. As we talked about racism and about the right of Black and white people last week in class, I am here to connect this with one event this week- the memorial meeting of Kobe Bryant this Monday on 2/24. For Kobe, he is one of the best players in the for no doubt and also for true he is a black man. However, there is really no connection between the color of skin and greatness. For Kobe, he will always be in my heart and it really doesn't matter if he is black or not. People all call him Black Mamba does not mean they think him as a black guy but because of the spirit of never easily give up on something and the competitive emulation he had in every game is just like Mamba in the desert, almost the highest in the chain. The word Black in this way can means a lot in a good way than just thinking it the way people used to.
What he accomplished, as a basketball player, as a businessman and a storyteller and as a father. In the game of basketball and in life as a parent, Kobe left nothing in the tank he left it all on the floor. From Kobe, you can always find a passion from him and it is amazing about passion. It makes me learned that if you love something if you have a strong passion for something, you will go to the eme to try to understand it or try to get it! What Kobe to me was his inspiration about the way he wanted to play the game, he wanted to be the best basketball player that he can be. For all the time, he just tries to be a better person only for that!
Thanks Kobe! For being one of the best parts of my memory in my high school time! Take care of Gigi and still be the best MVP there, we will still continue to inherit the Mamba Spirit. As Jordan said in the memorial meeting too, " part of me died too when you were gone." What can I say, from now, Mamba Out!
