Allie's Review Ideas

Three ideas for the review are “the Joker,” “The Bachelor,” and “Avengers: Infinity War.” These were chosen because those were the three movies/shows that I watched that I had felt as though I could review. “The Joker” is first on my list because of the sheer fact that I find it interesting that it was created to make the audience feel uncomfortable, it fulfilled its job, but at what price? The second is “The Bachelor”, obviously, there was a ton of backlash from Pilot Pete’s season, and analyzing it and attempting to pinpoint the reason why it ended the way it did would be interesting. The last would be “Avengers: Infinity War” this is because there is a lot that the audiences did not agree with and it would be interesting to pick apart. After all of this, these are subject to change.

  1. Allie, I think any of these could be good. I think The Joker question is really a good one, and not unrelated to, say, "Sharknado," which someone mentioned earlier: if a movie's goal is not to be entertaining the way we conventionally understand it, what are we supposed to do with it? Judge it on whether it did a good job of being intentionally bad, or making us uncomfortable or grossed out? Should that take precedence over whether or not we liked the movie?
