Blog 8- Corona Virus

  With the spreading of coronavirus these days, different states in the US are also getting infected and even causing death. However, facing this kind of situation most people here still choose to think of it as a normal flu outbreak. That's really not true as we learned biology so far, this virus cannot be cured by any medicine or antibiotics. So how come this virus can just be thinking easily as the normal flu?
  What's more, as most students do not care about this serious situation, they are thinking of themselves as a tough guy and do not want to change classes into online courses, some still even asking questions like " why can't we gathering or having parties?" However, the truth is that most of the big lectures like biology and chemistry are always about 200 people inside the class and let's say if there is only one student who gets infected by the virus during his spring break. In this way, all of the students in this class can easily get infected too as no one want to wear a mask just because being afraid of thinking as a weirdo by others...
  In the end, I want to say that I am not afraid of the virus but there is a need for people to take this situation more seriously than before or it is only gonna be worse. We can begin with wearing masks to protect ourselves but not caring about what others are thinking about you, your life is yours and no one can take it from you. Also please go to the petition of NEU and support for the online courses so we can all have a safe environment for studying.
