Blog post-#10- Abby Jiminian

I just recently finished binge watching All American on Netflix. I loved the first season so when I heard that a second season was coming out I was elated. But I am not going to lie, the last episode of the season was so anticlimactic. I was genuinely upset once I finished the show. I think part of the reason why I was so upset was because of all the events that occurred before the season finale. I will not spoil it just in case someone reads this blog post and was looking forward to the new season but the episodes were getting super good. I was excited for the finale because I was ready for something big to happen and leave everyone shocked but it didn't really happen. Honestly the finale was super predictable and that upset me. Just the episode before had me in tears because of the events that had occurred and the finale left me angry because nothing new really happened. I get that there's writer's  choice and everything but how are you going to go from literally every episode leaving me in tears all emotional to leaving me annoyed and upset because the finale was so dry. Like I will give credit to the writer because the next season does have an interesting plot, there are a few factors that are incredibly important that we will see play out but not to the caliber of what had happened in the previous episodes.

I am looking forward to seeing where some storylines play out but I have a feeling I know what is going to happen in the next season with the true focal point of the entire narrative which is kind of upsetting because I for one love this show. I am a sucker for shows that are all types of dramatic. And this show is about football so that's another reason why I am so keen on it. I am just annoyed with the ending and how my brain is projecting the future season because it's super predictable. For once I am actually saying that I wanted a draw dropping cliff hanger in the finale. I mean that's why I came back to watch season two because season one had a cliff hanger that left me in awe. This season's cliffhanger is one that I kind of already know the answer to. I think the writer had so many directions to go off of for the following season that instead of making one main issue be the question, they made a few issues plus a main issue which in the end made it kind of messy. Despite my commentary I am actually excited to see where the writer takes season three and if my predictions are accurate or if I'm left shocked. I honestly love this show so I hope in some cases I'm wrong. Like I said though I am a sucker for dramatic shows and it has football so I know that when season three comes out I will be glued to my seat or bed binging All American all over again.
