These past few days have been crazy, to say the least.  Just when I was starting to develop a consistent and comfortable routine during the two months here, corona hit and everything went sideways.  I first thought that corona would only affect my friends in Asia and it wouldn't hit the US, and if it did it wouldn't get to the point where universities around the country would shut down prematurely and send kids home.  It's super unfair and I feel like I had so much more to do at Northeastern.  I was looking forward to meeting more people, visiting new places in Boston, and winning a championship with the club baseball team.  It's insane to think I won't be seeing any of my friends until next year which is an absurd amount of time.  Now, the main goal is to keep my grades going strong and to be as organized as possible in order to stay on top of my work.  I'm not someone that does well in online classes, so this will definitely be a struggle.  But, the premature end of the university also affected a lot of my travel plans as well.
Even when I was trying to figure out what to do was crazy.  There are no direct flights back to Hong Kong so I was originally going to just live by myself in San Diego until I realized that unless I come back to Hong Kong before Thursday I would have to be under mandatory quarantine.  Rumor has it that I have to wear one of these for 14 days.  In addition to that, if I'm caught breaking quarantine or just being caught with any flu-like symptoms I'll be sent to one of these places.

  2. I never would have thought that countries outside of the US might have it worse it terms of quarantine, hopefully everything turns out ok. These next few months are going to be rough but hopefully things will clear up once school is over.
