These past few days have been very hectic for obvious reasons.  This whole year has been crazy for so many reasons.  Our freshman year here at Northeastern has not been an 'average' college experience.  First, we were away for the entire first semester in Greece studying abroad.  I had a lot of fun in Greece and learned a lot, but I was more than ready to settle in Boston where the real learning and studying would happen.  But, only two months into school, COVID-19 hit and now I go to an online school.  It wasn't that I wasn't aware of corona because all of my friends in Hong Kong were already taking online classes since Christmas and I heard about it a lot since it affected Asia and Hong Kong pretty hard earlier.  But, now that they were doing better I thought the virus wouldn't affect our school in the US.  But, here we are.  Despite all these complications, I think there is a slight bright side to this situation.  It gives us the ability to become more independent and responsible in terms of our education.  Since everything is online now, we'll be more responsible for keeping up with work and assignments than we were before.
I wouldn't say I'm worried about corona too much.  I'm usually a pretty clean person and have a decent immune system.  The main thing that I'm worried about is my academics and deciding whether to go take online classes from San Diego or stay on campus in Boston.  Either way, I hope Northeastern will do what they can to help us finish our freshman year in a productive and efficient manner.

  1. I agree, our first year of college has definitely been far from ordinary. Luckily the virus doesn't affect people under 40 very much, but it's still pretty concerning.
