Review Ideas

1) The Starbucks drive thru. For some reason whenever I go to Starbucks, I always go inside. But, now due to the Coronavirus, the drive thru is currently the only option at Starbucks. I saw this in an email that was sent to me from Starbucks, so I figured why not try it. It would be interesting to compare if it is faster or slower than going inside and if they make my coffee just as well as going inside.
2) The show Peaky Blinders. I honestly have no idea what this show is about, but my parents have been watching it for a while now. Since I've been home from school, it is seemingly always on the TV and whenever I look up to watch 2 minutes of it, I am always very confused on what is happening. I also saw on one of my friend's Instagram stories that it is one of her new favorite shows, so I thought that maybe I would like to watch it and review it. Maybe I would only watch the first episode though and review it, because I am not sure I would be able to watch all 30 episodes by Friday, but maybe.
3) The movie Contagion. This is probably not the best time to be watching this movie as it is about a global pandemic, but my friend has been telling me to watch it for a while now. It could be interesting to see any differences or similarities to what is happening right now during the pandemic we are currently having.

    I think the starbucks drive thru is a really fun idea, i think you could make a very comical piece from it. You may have to go a couple times to get the true feel (experimenting plus starbucks? sounds alright to me). But your piece would be fun and you could compare different places, though know that you experience would revolve around the barista that took your order and that may not be an accurate representation of the starbucks drivethru.

    I have to agree with Julia. The Starbucks drive thru would be a really unique idea. I am actually very interested myself to know the answer to this. With the coronavirus pandemic I am going through the Starbucks drive through A LOT. I am curious if going through the drive thru is quicker than going inside. I wonder how the online app affects the answer?

    Mikayla, I, too, think the Starbucks drive-thru could be a good idea. It's sort of ... topical? And it might be more fun to write about than, say, Contagion! However, do you think you have enough to say about the drive-thru? (And, also, is it even still open at this point?)

Victoria's Prompt Ideas

One of my favorite shows is Grey’s Anatomy.  It has been on air for so long, and so much has changed over the course of its time on TV.  I can start watching anywhere in the series and still be sucked in to tapping “next episode” over and over. Instead of writing about the show itself, it could be interesting to review the show’s evolution from the beginning to what it is like now. The NUin program- this could be an interesting thing to review because it is full of expectations and it is very much an opinion (because so many people had so many different experiences, and view them differently).  I also think there is a lot of room to talk about background information and to talk about my own views on whether I’d recommend the program and describe how I felt during my experiences in the program.  One of my favorite pairs of shoes I own is my Birkenstocks. Step 1 of Review Prompt: Samantha Rhynard

Three choices for things I would be interested in reviewing are as follows; the book The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t With Her Mind , the movie Marriage Story , as well as the movie The Shawshank Redemption . I have chosen two movies and a book as the media I would find preferable for review options, because they are very good stay inside activities. I would like to review The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t With Her Mind, because it is the book I am currently reading, so I will be able it a fair analysis, having been recently actively involved with it. Marriage Story and The Shawshank Redemption  are movies I would consider reviewing, because I have been told that they're good, but I haven't gotten around to seeing for myself.
