A year ago around this time was when I found out I got into northeaster. I had gotten deferred first and then accepted into the Nuin program. Northeastern at the time was not one of my first choices. I don't really know why it wasn't, I think I was just more focused on other schools. I remember being very confused when I got in, I had no clue what the NUin program was. When applying I checked a box saying I would be willing to go abroad my first semester, thinking nothing more than it might give me a better chance of getting in. The stress of taking the SAT/ACT, writing essays, and applying for college made me pretty numb to all of my acceptances/rejections. I kind of dismissed the acceptance because boston is pretty far from my home and I thought going abroad for my first semester wold be crazy. Not to mention it was the most expensive option.  I have always wanted to travel a lot so it wasn't long before I quickly fell in love with the idea of going abroad for my fir...

During this period of social distancing, the days are starting to blur together because of the repetitive routine of watching lectures, studying for exams, completing assignments, while finding moments in between to spend time with my dog, eat dinner, and watch some Netflix.  I think that some good things are coming out of this period of social distancing: more family time, cooking family meals, going on walks, and getting some time to slow down and take time for myself to read or watch some movies or series on Netflix.   Last week I had my first online test for biology.  It was on plants and some animals. I spent so much time last week studying for that test, and honestly it wasn’t an easy test to study for or take.  This whole semester I have been trying different study methods from study guides, to flashcards, to flowcharts, to try to do my best in this class. I am not really sure what the best combination is for studying, but hopefully this class will he...

Unfortunately, I have run out of things to write. I am bored. I am locked at home with almost nothing interesting to do. My life has become absolutely boring.  Nothing new is happening. I do the exact same thing every single day. I have not left my house in over two weeks, except to go on a daily walk around my neighborhood. I have not gotten in my car once. I’ve been thinking about going out for a drive, but then I get too lazy or tired. I am literally too tired from nothing. So basically, what I think my problem is that I have no motivation to do anything because every day is the same. All I do is sleep until 12:00 or 1:00 in the afternoon, do homework when I can finally force myself to do it, and then workout in my living room. There’s not much to my day. I don’t even watch movies or tv shows, I just watch youtube videos once in a while because I get bored so easily I lose interest so quickly. I think I’m going to start watching a tv show series to give me something to do. My fa...

I also find it easier to be productive when I'm on a schedule. It's so nice that you've been able to get back to the barn and find a schedule for yourself that works.  I also had a plan for the summer to work at a camp, and I am unsure if that will happen now.  I really hope I am able to go back because I love working there, and I also need a job :) I guess we have to take things day by day.

My parents have decided that since I am going to be home for the foreseeable future, they want to make some renovation-style changes to my room, specifically to my desk area. While this overall seems like a good idea, there is a lot of backstory and nuances that factor into exactly what has been happening in this process. See, there is nothing easy about renovating anything, but this is a special circumstance. To get to where we are now, we have to start several months ago, while I was away with NUin Greece. My parents and I would face-time me once a week. They would keep me apprised of what happened with them and the house while I was gone, and I would tell them of my exploits in Greece. In probably mid-October, they offhandedly mentioned that Mia—my cat—had brought a mouse into my room, and it had gotten trapped behind the built-in cabinets that occupy a wall of my room. My parents told me that there was no way they could get it out of there, so they were going to wait a while for it...

I still hate quarantine.  This has been such a long two weeks and I am very ready for everything to go back to normal.  The three things that I was excited about coming back to Minnesota to were my friends, a job, and getting back to riding.  Of course due to social distancing, seeing my friends and getting a job have been thrown out the window. As of yesterday I thought that riding was going to be out of the picture too because the barn is closed since it is a nonessential business.  I was getting rather desperate to find excuses to get away from my family though. I know my coach well.  She isn’t quick to ask for help, but she is a 73 year old woman who is now stuck with caring for and exercising well over 20 horses. There are always barn hands around to do some labor, but yesterday I thought that it couldn’t hurt to reach out and see if Anne needed an extra set of hands to wrangle the horses.  I have stayed in contact with some of the little girls w...

I have grown tired talking about quarantine, COVID-19, online classes, and all that stuff. The problem, however, is that because of quarantine, there really is nothing much I can talk about besides that. I don't do much besides, eat, sleep, clean, go on my phone and go to class. I guess that means that the only thing I can really talk about now is what I do when I go on my phone. Hulu just came out with a show called Little Fires Everywhere. This TV show is based on a book by Celeste Ng that I did not read but I might after watching the first episode of this series. Just a side note, Celeste Ng is an Asian American woman. I was watching this with my sister who did read the book and during the show, she would whisper to me the differences in the book and the show. Even though that was a little annoying, now that I am writing this and have nothing else to talk about, I really appreciate it. The TV show focuses on two contrasting families: the Richardsons - a big and seemingly perfect...

Working Drafts! Deadline Extended! And other announcements.

It feels like it's been a month, and it's only Thursday. I wanted to check in about the review assignment. I've heard from a number of you, and.... we're kind of all over the place. So, I'm going to make the deadline for Working Drafts  Monday, March 30.   I made a brief video (I've been trying to figure out the best program since we went online two weeks ago! I found one that I think works), in which I talk to you a little bit about all this and then, with the help of my six-year-old assistant, set you up with partners for peer review.  Here goes nothing: http://somup.com/cYeO2z1Xty For those of you without the patience or fortitude to sit through the whole thing, here are your partners: On Monday, please share your working draft as a Google Doc with me and your partner.  If you don't have your partner's email address, mention it in the comments below this post. As a reminder, here is the standing link to Friday's office ...

As it reaches around 11 days since I have begun practicing social distancing, my day to day has become the same. I wake up, join my classes online, eat breakfast, then spend the next 3-4 hours on school work. The rest of the time I try to relax, talk with my family, or exercise from home. Then, before I know it, it is night time again where I eat dinner, go to bed and wake up to do it all over again. It's quite boring but I surprisingly haven't run out of things to do yet. I think it's because I have a lot of catching up to do in some of my classes and I feel behind. Not to mention, studying for exams takes up enough time already. When I actually do have time to chill out, I have found lots of series on Netflix to keep me occupied. However, one thing that quarantine has taught me, is how we don't realize the freedom we have in regards to the world around us. I spend a lot of money whenever I'm home because my friends and I like to go out often. The simplest thing su...

Day I don't know in quarantine and I have forgotten what day it is. That being said, I forgot that it was Wednesday aka I forgot about the blog post. But I did get some Raven vision and I did see that I had to submit this blog post before the class period would be over. I feel like one of my hardest struggles is knowing what time classes are being in a different time zone. Like I know that it is only an hour difference however I am totally confusing my time these days. It is nice in a way that all my classes are done earlier but I also have to make up even earlier. One of the better things to come out of this quarantine is that a lot of new music has come out. My favorite so far is the Weeknd's album. It is amazing and great and perfect and wow. My favorite song from the album is "Scared to Live" it is cinematically beautiful and shows a heartfelt message that he must have felt at some time in his life. I mean the weekend makes everyone feel like they went through a...

Blog post-#10- Abby Jiminian

I just recently finished binge watching All American on Netflix. I loved the first season so when I heard that a second season was coming out I was elated. But I am not going to lie, the last episode of the season was so anticlimactic. I was genuinely upset once I finished the show. I think part of the reason why I was so upset was because of all the events that occurred before the season finale. I will not spoil it just in case someone reads this blog post and was looking forward to the new season but the episodes were getting super good. I was excited for the finale because I was ready for something big to happen and leave everyone shocked but it didn't really happen. Honestly the finale was super predictable and that upset me. Just the episode before had me in tears because of the events that had occurred and the finale left me angry because nothing new really happened. I get that there's writer's  choice and everything but how are you going to go from literally every ep...

I have lost track of what number day this is of the "social distancing". I am definitely 100% of the concept of social distancing, but I am starting to go a little crazy. I love my house and my family and everything, but I definitely miss not only my college friends, but also my high school friends. It is such a weird concept that we are all only 10-20 minutes away from each other, yet we still are not able to hang out. The other day, some of my friends and I decided to drive to our high school and park our cars next to each other and talk through the windows. Not the best technique, but at least it gave us an opportunity to get out of our houses and talk to other people besides our family members. It was also able to give me a nice break from getting caught up on the never ending biology notes. Right when I think I am finally caught up with all of the notes, two more fifty minute powerpoint presentations appear. I am definitely ready to get this exam on Thursday out of the w...

I had a few ideas on what to review.  The first idea I have is to review the super-popular Nintendo game called 'Super Smash Bros Ultimate'.  I've been playing this game since my freshman year of high school and its how I met some of my closest friends in both my old high school and at Northeastern.  'Super Smash Bros Ultimate' is so simple yet so complicated at the same time and I think that a review of the game could be interesting due to how many college students play this game (I'm pretty sure this is one of the most popular video games to play in college in the world).  The second thing that I would be interested in reviewing would be a Netflix documentary called 'Icarus'.  It was a documentary filmed by Bryan Fogel in 2017 who wanted to see how easy it would be to win an amateur cycling race while taking performance-enhancing drugs with the help of a Russian scientist named Grigory Rodchenkov.  The movie later develops into a full-on scandal that l...

I think it's safe to say that everyone is starting to go a bit crazy. Or at least that is what is happening in my house. I was so happy to see my family again after coming home, but after a week, I think I've had enough family time to last me a lifetime. I'm kidding... sort of. As this quarantine continues and seems to not be going away any time soon, I am trying my best to look at the silver linings. I am really embracing my chef's side while I have been home. In the past few days my mom, sister, and I have baked brownies, cookies, cupcakes, and an entire cake. For dinners, we have been trying to be creative and a bit spontaneous. Last night we made wings but added our own homemade sauce on top. We made a bit too cheesy four-cheese mac and cheese, which was really messy but really yummy. We also tried making our own pasta. However, this went terribly wrong and we just used boxed pasta instead. We have also been doing fun movie nights, long walks with our dog, and game ...

Blog post #10-Samantha Rhynard

Things that have happened since last week: I have kind of gotten used to working from home, and I have attended all the classes I was supposed to, took a few quizzes, and overall put off doing stuff as much as possible. Things that probably should have happened this past week: more studying for my Biology exam and going in-depth on some Chemistry stuff, because I don't entirely understand the chapter. I think as a consequence of being home (and in a different time zone), I have lost some of the grip on what day it is, and this week kind of crept up on me. It was the 12th or 13th of March, the eventful move-out happened, during which I wasn't thinking about the date, and then the rest of the week when I was home all kind of slurred together. And now there's about a week left of March. AH! But having realized that the end of the month is approaching, I have been actually worried about getting things done, and have been accomplishing some of the assignments that are due eventu...

Writing these blog posts have made me realize I could never run a blog. I can never think about what to write about. As much as I want to mix things up and write about something that has nothing to do with quarantine or corona, that fact that I have been trapped in my house with nothing to do doesn't give me much else to talk about. I guess I can use this to vent about how much I dislike learning about plants. On Thursday I have a biology exam about plants and animals. Studying about plants, their structures, and how they reproduce, is one of the most boring things I have ever had to learn. Memorizing everything about gymnosperms and angiosperms is not my cup of tea to say the least. The fact that we have to be tested on it I find quite ridicules. I mean I get it, we are in school, paying thousands of dollars to learn, and I chose this major. But being forced to cram a shit ton of information about plants, their structures, and their behaviors, in my head in order to be able to ans...

Blog Post #10 - corals

This week, I am spending almost all my time preparing for my biology exam on plant and animal life. One thing in the lecture that really stood out to me was when our professor discussed Anthozoa. This is a class of marine invertebrates that include sea anemones, sea fans, and hard corals. We learned about hermatypic corals, which are the ones you see when you go to the Caribbean. They are only found in warm waters, specifically 30N and 30S latitude. They house such a vast majority of fishes and marine life. They are VITAL. They are amongst the most productive areas in the world. However; unfortunately, there are a lot of disturbances for these corals. The most impactful disturbances on corals are climate change and ocean acidification. Climate change is obviously a huge factor in the drastic die off of corals, along with many other species. It causes the corals to bleach, which is a process in which they give up zooxanthellae. Zooxanthellae is a very important bacteria with which coral...

Since moving back home to Minnesota, one of the biggest things that I’ve been missing is the routine that I had gotten into while in Boston.  It’s a double whammy of being stuck at home and having to social distance, so I can’t make a similar routine here at home. One of the weekly events that I enjoyed in Boston were my visits to the BTU every Tuesday.  Even when I had really busy weeks with classes and couldn’t find time to go out, having the structured time into my week allowed for me to do something other than school work (or at least my own).  At the BTU we happened to be working with fifth graders on their natural disasters projects.  I don’t think that is the normal experience volunteering with the elementary school kids. Usually there is some variation in the age of students and the projects that we’re helping the kids with, but for the Tuesday volunteers we were with the same group of kids for the entire semester.  Apparently the English teacher w...

It has now been a week and two days since I "moved" back home and our family of five has returned. My parents and my oldest sister are teleworking and my middle sister is finishing up pharmacy school virtually. It has definitely been a hot minute since all five of us have lived together for a prolonged amount of time, excluding holidays. When I was a freshman in high school, both of my sisters were in college and only came home for long weekends and holidays so I was essentially an only child for about four years. The dynamic is frazzled and hectic with phone calls going on, our home phone ringing constantly, at least one person banging pots around in the kitchen, and music blasting from at least one bedroom. It has certainly been a project in itself just to find my center of focus as well as a spot where I am not easily distracted by the things going on around me. Even with all the chaos that has ensued in the house, one of the biggest silver linings in all of this is family...

Blog Post #10 - Victoria Nemeth

This weekend marked a week of being home, and a week since online classes started.  A lot has changed in the past week including moving home, adjusting to new classes, and spending LOTS of time with my family. :)  I think that being home, and away from a school environment has posed a lot of challenges for me to try to get my school work done.  I currently have my school stuff set up at my dining room table and am doing my best to stay focused. I know that we are so close to the end of the semester, and it is really important to stick it out for the last month or so, but something about being home and not at school makes it really hard to get work done.    It’s also strange “being in class” on my laptop at home because I am not really in the same mindset that I would normally be when I’m in a classroom at school.  It takes so much more for me to focus and to stay tuned into the lecture. It also doesn’t help that my brother is home from high school...

This is the story of the daunting task that is cleaning my room.  To begin, I was not a slob, I was more of a hoarder. I still had clothes and shoes from fourth grade, that’s right, I have not grown since fourth grade. I would keep clothing because I thought I could integrate it into my style or that I had sentimental value. But it came to the point that most of my wardrobe sat in a drawer or my closet for years. I also had large clumps of clothes and random items in each corner of my room. And on top of all of that, I had no decorations up that made this space mine.  I started with my closet. This was a huuuuge task. You know in movies when the kid throws everything in the closet to make their room clean, well that was me. I had so many miscellaneous items in my closet, I didn't know what was there. It was my dumping ground. So in cleaning this, I had to, as my mom refers to it,  “weed” through the assortment of shoes on the ground and organize them in order to get...

Not that anyone cares but so far this week, I have missed 3 chemistry classes, 1 quiz and I am like 5 lectures behind in bio. Just so you know, we have only had 2 days of classes because Monday and Tuesday were used for moving. Obviously, online classes really do not suit me. I was looking over my list of homework and everything seems so disorganized. Everyday, I receive approximately 20-50 emails about what is due. I read over them but constantly forget to write down the information so now I am all messed up. Online classes are really messing with me. I no longer know when something is due or what I have to do with homework and it is making me really stressed out and my only coping mechanism for stress is watching Netflix which I do not have time for and yet, I find myself spending 18 hours in bed watching it. This is a constant cycle that I can’t seem to break out of. I am starting to crumble. I need human interaction again. I need a schedule that I cannot break. I need to be bac...

Reviews

Three things I am interested in reviewing are a Netflix series called The Circle, a self-help/personal growth book called You are a Badass by Jen Sincero, and the movie Parasite . The Circle is a reality tv/ game show that makes a lot of statements about social media use. You are a Badass is a #1 New York Times best seller that I read in the beginning of highschool that actually helped me a lot but I think there is always a lot to say about self help esk books because they can be quite cheesy. Parasite it an academy award winning movie I haven't actually watched it yet but I heard theres a huge plot twist and this would give me an excuse to watch it. I am so sorry this is late my life has been super hectic these last couple of days as everyone else's has been Im sure.

Stuck at Home

It's been almost a week since I've been home, and I've gradually realized how many things are different now about my current lifestyle. Sure, online college is different from attending lectures in classrooms, but we had (a very limited) warming about the transition and had to pretty much get used to it. However, there are so many other aspects of how I currently live that are different than even summer without school for me right now. Everything feels empty. What makes it worse is that I’m in the process of moving, so I don’t even feel at home when I currently am. All my stuff is packed up, with the exception of my makeshift desk I have currently in my bedroom. I haven’t even unpacked my clothes yet because I feel like I’m just going to have to pack them up again soon. Nevertheless, that’s just my situation. In terms of the whole quarantine and COVID-19 protocols, everyone has pretty much observed the same things happening. Restaurants are now only takeout and delivery, ...

1) Late Registration by Kanye West One of my favorite albums ever by one of my favorite artists ever. This is the album most representative of the soul-sample using, pink polo wearing, George Bush muckraking  Kanye West we all initially fell in love with. The two things that made Kanye such an endearing figure was that he wasn't afraid to be vulnerable in his music, and his willingness to speak up on things he believed in, which made him feel more relatable than your typical mainstream rapper at the time. By  drawing comparisons between America's c rack cocaine epidemic and its gross fascination with black culture, describing his family's anxiety as his grandmother battles illness, and singing about how much he loves his mother Kanye best epitomized these admirable traits on his magnum opus, Late Registration. 2) Bojack Horseman The object of my most recent Netflix binge, Bojack Horseman is one of the most intelligent shows I've watched in a while.  Centered ar...

Step 1: Review Ideas - Madeleine Perko

The Game Changers: review the documentary and its concept of a plant based diet. It is a documentary I have been wanting to see and i think watching it with the lens of evaluating its cinematography as well as its content (advocating for a plant based diet) would be interesting. NU.in experience: I think reviewing this for myself would be interesting. I have done it a lot mentally, but to put it on paper in a concrete way would be productive and interesting especially if I put the review in terms of myself and tried to reflect on how it would potentially be different or similar for another person. The Office: this TV show is so popular and for so many reasons captivates me. There is something very intricate and deliberate about the acting and why the show works as a whole. It is interesting how it is often very offensive and yet heartwarming. This is a paradox that would be interesting to further evaluate. Again, im sorry it is late :(

Like so many people, I have been really overwhelmed with the last few weeks and having to transition to self-isolation (which is hard enough as it is). However, I think that far and away what is most overwhelming to me is academics. In general, I feel a lot anxiety due to school, so the countless (and I really mean countless — I cannot for the life of me wrap my head around what is happening and what I need to be doing) changes been hard to digest and hard to manage. Furthermore, I am upset by the lack of transition period from in person classes to online classes. I am really sympathetic to those making these hard decisions, and feel that because Northeastern as a school has so many types of students, so many students and so many types of unique programs, they have a unique challenge, however, I think that there will continue to be and have been consequences felt by everyone due to the lack of a transition period. I do not know why they made the decision to not have one, so I am t...

1) Online workout classes. Due to the coronavirus we have all been stuck inside and be quarantined in our own homes. As a result, I have been forced to try and come up with creative workouts to try and stay in shape through online workouts. I think it would be interesting to look at the benefits and drawbacks of online workouts, and if they are more effective? Or if working out at home is less effective than going to a gym or a workout class. 2) The modern movie "Little Women". When I went to see this movie I was super excited to see the modern version. I personally really loved the movie, and consider it to be one of my favorites. However, I have seen many reviews of moviegoers being disappointed with the new movie. I think it would be interesting to review the movie and look at where the movie went right or where the movie went wrong. I can also look at how it compares to old movies and the book. Is it better or worse than the original story? 3) Guayaki Yerba Mate Energ...

Allie's Review Ideas

Three ideas for the review are “the Joker,” “The Bachelor,” and “Avengers: Infinity War.” These were chosen because those were the three movies/shows that I watched that I had felt as though I could review. “The Joker” is first on my list because of the sheer fact that I find it interesting that it was created to make the audience feel uncomfortable, it fulfilled its job, but at what price? The second is “The Bachelor”, obviously, there was a ton of backlash from Pilot Pete’s season, and analyzing it and attempting to pinpoint the reason why it ended the way it did would be interesting. The last would be “Avengers: Infinity War” this is because there is a lot that the audiences did not agree with and it would be interesting to pick apart. After all of this, these are subject to change.

Review Ideas

1) The Starbucks drive thru. For some reason whenever I go to Starbucks, I always go inside. But, now due to the Coronavirus, the drive thru is currently the only option at Starbucks. I saw this in an email that was sent to me from Starbucks, so I figured why not try it. It would be interesting to compare if it is faster or slower than going inside and if they make my coffee just as well as going inside. 2) The show Peaky Blinders. I honestly have no idea what this show is about, but my parents have been watching it for a while now. Since I've been home from school, it is seemingly always on the TV and whenever I look up to watch 2 minutes of it, I am always very confused on what is happening. I also saw on one of my friend's Instagram stories that it is one of her new favorite shows, so I thought that maybe I would like to watch it and review it. Maybe I would only watch the first episode though and review it, because I am not sure I would be able to watch all 30 episodes by ...

Review Ideas

The first thing that I am interested in reviewing is the recently released movie, After. Based on a book series by Anna Todd, this is a teenage romance movie that pegged me as good at the surface but could have been much better. Also, having read the book I would like to base some of my critique on how the movie and book differ and remain similar. The second thing that I am interested in reviewing is Justin Bieber's new album, Changes. I would like to write a review on this because I will admit that I was once (and still am to a degree) a big Biebs fan plus I love music. I think it will be interesting to compare his latest album to all of his previous works. The third thing that I am interested in reviewing is one of the new and top trending shows on Netflix, Love is Blind. I began watching this show on the flight back to Boston after spring break and the concept, while not really original, is intriguing nonetheless. Speed dating and blind dating have been around for a very lon...

Step 1 Prompts - Kamille Martin

1) Playa Bowls - A smoothie bowl chain. Ever since I've gotten to campus, I've been obsessed with this place. It is fresh and delicious. However, the high price that accompanies a single bowl is alarming. Sometimes I wonder if I broke down each ingredient and reviewed the cost it took to create the bowl, would it be worth it? Or would simply making a replica smoothie at home be a better option? This is prevalent to review because many college students also attend this shop and may want to know the real price behind the production of the smoothie bowls. 2) "TikTok" - The social media app that has become a hit. It is very cool to see how applications on your iPhone develop over time and TikTok in particular has grown tremendously since it was first launched. At first sight, I saw the app as bland and for children. Now, however, it has over 1 billion users of all ages and contains a variety of content from dancing to cooking to workouts. This would be eye-opening to re...

Ideas for a Review

1. The Shawshank Redemption - I haven't seen this movie before, but I've been wanting to for some time now and I've heard good things about it. I like Morgan Freeman as an actor and I could use other movies I've seen with him in it to frame my expectations. On the other hand, I haven't really seen many movies of this genre, so it would also be interesting for me to see how I like this style of film. 2. Pulp Fiction - I have seen this movie before, and I'm a big fan of Quentin Tarantino's work. However, I have only seen the movie once and it's been a while since I've watched it. The main part of the movie that I remember is that it's not shot chronologically, which is one of my favorite aspects of it. I feel like I could still have interesting expectations for it now that I've watched more of Tarantino's films after watching this one to compare it again. 3. International Village Dining hall pizza - Although we were somewhat told to str...

Step 1 of Review Prompt: Samantha Rhynard

Three choices for things I would be interested in reviewing are as follows; the book The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t With Her Mind , the movie Marriage Story , as well as the movie The Shawshank Redemption . I have chosen two movies and a book as the media I would find preferable for review options, because they are very good stay inside activities. I would like to review The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t With Her Mind, because it is the book I am currently reading, so I will be able it a fair analysis, having been recently actively involved with it. Marriage Story and The Shawshank Redemption  are movies I would consider reviewing, because I have been told that they're good, but I haven't gotten around to seeing for myself.

Victoria's Prompt Ideas

One of my favorite shows is Grey’s Anatomy.  It has been on air for so long, and so much has changed over the course of its time on TV.  I can start watching anywhere in the series and still be sucked in to tapping “next episode” over and over. Instead of writing about the show itself, it could be interesting to review the show’s evolution from the beginning to what it is like now. The NUin program- this could be an interesting thing to review because it is full of expectations and it is very much an opinion (because so many people had so many different experiences, and view them differently).  I also think there is a lot of room to talk about background information and to talk about my own views on whether I’d recommend the program and describe how I felt during my experiences in the program.  One of my favorite pairs of shoes I own is my Birkenstocks. During the spring/summer/fall (ok basically any month where the temperature is over 50ยบ ) I am always...

Comment to part 1 prompt - from Victoria

Comment to Julia's Post: RIP George! I love this idea because throughout the show there have been so many fun and complex characters. I think it would be such a great idea to review the characters that have made the show so impactful, rather than the show itself.  It would be a really unique way to go with this assignment! Comment to Dina's post: I think it would be such a good idea to review the movie Parasite because of how engaged you were with the movie.  Many people I know can barely stay engaged with movies, and I think it would be really interesting for you to expand on some of the reasons why this movie kept you so engaged. Comment to Kat's post: I think it's such a good idea to review the book  It  ! I've never read the book or saw the movie, but it would be interesting to see what your thoughts were on how the book compared to the movie.

Step 1 of Review- Abby Jiminian

1) Creed - This is one of my favorite movies. I have watched it more than once and have still been very interested in every scene. I always love stories of people that had to work to get what they want and I also love movies about sports. The story of Creed is an important one in the boxing realm and I also love Michael B Jordan. 2) Elite - This is a Netflix series that is full of love, lust, murder, lies, mistrust and everything in between. This series is amazing and I just finished the third season and am waiting for more. I will admit I have binge watched each season right after they came out but that is because of how good and interesting this series is. This series is also in Spanish which I think adds to the strength and quality of this show 3) On my Block -  This is also another Netflix series that has to to do with four high school kids getting into problems as best friends. It has to do with lower socioeconomic classes, betrayal, gangs and so much more. For this sh...

Step one of the reviews - Zaucha

Lucifer - a series on Netflix that is about the devil on earth and him joining the LAPD. Also about a love story that is hella annoying because it happens then doesn't happen then happens... Grey's Anatomy - 16/17 seasons is too long to write about. I would go more in-depth about each character that left the show and review specifically their exit from the show. Some of them are too soon. RIP George. Spenser Confidential - I haven't seen it just yet however it stars some of my favorite people such as Post Malone and Mark Wahlberg. I have some time to kill and it looks pretty good. Rated R. But it is about something that happens in Boston MA. Possibly a good one.

Comment on Dina's, Sabrina's and Kat's review Ideas - Abby Jiminian

Comment on Dina: Parasite I really like your idea of reviewing the movie parasite. It is a very good and interesting movie. I think that the fact that you found this movie entertaining is important in a review. The fact that you said that it is one of the few movies that has kept you interested and entertained all points makes me think that you would have a very clear and strong review. Comment on Sabrina: Bert Kreisher I love that you want to do a review on one of your favorite comedians. I love comedy as well and this comedian in particular. I think that a review on a comedy special would be super cool and it could turn out to be a very well written piece. I love that you are shinning light on the importance of comedy as an art form. Comment on Kat: The Count of Monte Cristo For some reason this particular choice of yours really stuck out to me. I liked the title but I also liked the way you described your interest in this specific topic. I have not seen this movie but I wo...
